The CL508 Atomic Wall Clock is designed for easy use and setup. Here are the steps to get it up and running:

1. Choose your time zone and daylight saving time (DST) settings on the back of the clock.
2. Insert 1 x AA battery for the clock movement and 3 x AA batteries for the smart light feature.
3. The second and minute hands will keep running and stop when the clock time reaches 12:00.
4. Once the hands are all in the 12:00 position, the clock will begin searching for the WWVB signal, and the second hand will stop running.

It's important to note that the signal searching process takes 3 to 10 minutes. Do not attempt to manually set or reset the clock during this time.

If the signal is received successfully, the clock time will be automatically corrected. If the signal fails, the second hand will start running again after 10 minutes.

In most areas, the WWVB signal can only be received at night. If your clock does not receive the signal during the day, wait until the next morning when it should be set correctly.

The clock also features a brightness adjustment button on the back, with "OFF," "Low," and "High" options. When set to "OFF," the smart light function is permanently disabled, and the clock will never light up. When set to "Low" or "High," the clock will automatically illuminate in the dark and turn off in the light.
