The Atomic Clock has a built-in receiver that automatically synchronizes itself with the WWVB radio broadcast by the US Government's National Institute (NIST) in Fort Collins, Colorado, ensuring Atomic Accuracy. The Atomic Clock will always be accurate to within one second as it receives daily WWVB updates.

The Wireless outdoor sensor (included) transmits the outdoor temperature to the Atomic Wall Clock. The sensor can be placed anywhere within 100ft of the receiving unit, and the wireless technology means no wire installation is necessary. Please note that the wireless sensor is included in the box, separate from the clock.

The Jumbo 3" Tall LCD Time Display is easy to read, easy to use, and easy to set up. It can be used as either a wall clock or as a desk clock with an integrated stand, making it perfect for any place in your home. In addition to the accurate self-setting atomic time, the clock displays indoor and outdoor temperature and an easy-to-read calendar and day of the week.

The Sharp Atomic Clock with Color Display is ELECTRIC POWERED with ON DEMAND BACKLIGHT BATTERY OPERATION. Plug it into a standard household wall outlet (110V/120V power outlets) to power the clock with an "always on" display. It will also work on Battery Optional Mode (Main unit 3 x AA batteries - Sensor 2 x AAA batteries, not included). While operating under battery power, use the BACKLIGHT button to illuminate the display for 5 seconds.
